Small Business Records Manager

WebPort will release its Small Business Records Manager (SBRM) software in the second half of 2006 (currently targeted for 1st December 2006).

What is SBRM?

The software package enables Small Business Enterprises (SMEs) to effectively protect, monitor and maintain information that could be required for regulatory or compliance purposes.

With the increased use of electronic communications for document distribution; coupled with the reliance of many business upon email; business needs to be able to easily store and retrieve electronic documents over many years. As these volumes continue to increase it is becoming increasingly difficult for small organisations to satisfy Records Management requirements.

Records Management (or retention) describes the process of managing the storage, retrieval and eventual disposal of business records.

Small Business Records Manager is a cost effective and easy to implement software package that assists an organisation with its Records Management process.

Why does my Organisation need SBRM?

Many businesses (including SMEs) are now required to keep business records for defined time periods and must be able to produce them on request as evidence to a regulator or a Court.

Records Management is not just for the 10,000-seat organisation. Businesses that want to grow efficiently can also benefit from early adoption of good processes.
